CC played about as well as they can last night and just managed to escape with a 3-2 win. They failed to finish on many great chances, and came dangerously close to yielding yet another 3-on-5 SHG. They still have to tighten up in some areas if they want to grab at least a point tonight.

Last night they were saved by some untimely DU penalties, just when the Pioneers seemed to be gaining some momentum. Case in point: this illegal pick by Luke Salazar:

Man, that was another great DU vs CC rivarly weekend! I had a blast both nights. Let's take two next weekend CC!!

Enjoy 7th place. Looks like Mexico & Tig better save up for airfare, tickets & the Honeymoon Suite at the Ramada Inn in Anchorage to see the Tigers in the first round of WCHA playoffs.
