CC @ RPI, Saturday, October 29th

Re: CC @ RPI, Saturday, October 29th

I'm here for a few minutes, as I'm going to a Halloween party tonight to try to fend off the snowstorm. Just as I say this, CC scores to make it 1-0. maybe I should leave.

Re: CC @ RPI, Saturday, October 29th

Are you listening to the radio on a radio? Or do you have a web stream? WRPI's web streaming kind of sucks, but I think it's because I don't listen to 256kbps.

Both, but I'm on the web stream, it's easier. If you'd rather listen to the CC perspective ;), this is the station: http://www.1039rxp.com/

It's actually about 9-10 seconds ahead of the TV.

I've attended one regular game this year, and it was the one where we won. I intend to go to the SLU game next week. If we win that, who's buying my tickets? :D

A lot of the things they seem to be talking about they could fix in rehearsal.

The finished product (the B2 broadcast) seems quite strong to me. I think that any "problems" on the 'Director's Cut' are completely ordinary for any broadcast team.

Right, we always fight through all these problems. When we talk about them they're magnified, but you don't notice if you just watch the final product.

Haggerty is such a horse. Our best forward, by far, in my mind thus far this season.

Re: CC @ RPI, Saturday, October 29th

End of the first period CC leads 1-0. Decent period for RPI but the power play just is doing nothing. We have to do more than just pass the puck around the periphery. I suspect much of that might change with the return of the injured forwards who usually play the PP. Defensively again-we seem solid.

I agree with your assessment, although it's easier said than done. CC (and ND and Ferris) are just so much bigger, stronger, and faster than our guys that there simply isn't room to operate other than around the periphery. CC is stretching themselves, though, and we've almost caught them on several cross-ice passes. Toward the end of the period, Cullen nearly found Schroeder on one of the passes as CC was puck-chasing.
