They used to be better. Nixon left office over 40 years ago. Bush Senior was elected 26 :eek: years ago! You speak of a different era Kep. Bush was outvoted his first election. You're viewing politics through Opie's prism - the 70's and 80's. Hillary isn't charismatic but neither are any of her potential opponents so that's not an issue unless Cruz/Rubio/Paul/Walker suddenly develops a personality. ;)

That may be true. Those days left a mark.

It's hard to imagine where the GOP is going to get more votes -- their social stances and their barely (when that) disguised racism are just too toxic. At the same time, we're never getting those votes to change. Social conservatives are the Republican plantation. So for the forseeable future that means close elections, with the Republicans fiddling with turnout to try to steal one here and there.

No reputable outlet is going to touch this story obviously. But I don't doubt the facts that are buried under the clickbait headline are accurate.
It actually takes some talent to write like this without lying: "Clinton took multiple trips to Epstein's private island where he 'kept young women as sex slaves' "
(Wait, who did what there?):eek:;) you have to read way between the lines. Clinton took a bunch of trips there, true. Epstein (the one who is the "he" in the headline) has been sued for rape, true. Someone probably said the words between the quotations. There's a lot of garnish on those facts.

That article was basically the average pundit's application of the transitive property.

Clinton was good friends with Epstein! : Epstein is a pedophile! : CLINTON IS A PEDOPHILE!

Sanitarium calling somebody else a bomb thrower is rich. GOP 16 better be as amusing a clown car as GOP 12, because She Who Must Be Obeyed is going to suck all the fun out of Dem 16.

At first I read that as Scotsperson and I was about to say it was completely unnecessary to explicitly include women because they tend to explicitly exclude women.
