If they go to school there then they have to follow those laws...

Why? I have no problem with them voting for president but what about all the referendum questions? People from away shouldn't be making laws they won't have to follow.

Wow.

Would you want people from Maine making Minn. law?

We have tons of transplants, people who just moved here, college students, etc. If you're allowed to vote and you live in that district that's the law. In fact I have to live under many things I don't like because of where I live. Just about every school decision that is in place right now I was on the opposite side of. Who would you like me to blame for that?

I guess I don't understand why they wouldn't vote absentee for wherever they are from. Obviously different people have different living situations but very few of the kids who come up to Maine from other states for college stick around afterwards.

Edit: I always voted absentee when I was in college and it worked fine.

Well, they might like recreational marijuana while they are attending school

Yeah. That's why people ***** about how much teachers are making for only working 9 months a year, or a few years ago, whining because bus drivers in NYC were making $50,000/year. My God, $50,000!!!!!!! And just what skills do they have anyway?

Meanwhile, after the Great recession the mainstream media was full of stories about how tough it was for the elites to get by on only $250,000/year, what with the house in the Hamptons to pay for, and the kids in prep school and all.

Speaking as someone who is friends with many teachers, including currently living with one, I hate when people whine about that crap. (I teach in college so I do better) The inaccuracy in the arguments is so ridiculous it literally makes me want to punch people in the face.

I have XM POTUS 124 going at work when I get a chance to sit in my truck. Not sure why I'm subjecting myself to this nonsense during the day when I know nothing will be known until late tonight.

POTUS seems to be fairly balanced. Maybe a bit Dem leaning, but it seems better than the "networks."

I thought it was extremely interesting the times I've tuned in. I wish I had been listening to it more often before the election.

I will definitely listen to that today :)

Something I heard on the radio last night:

We can expect to see record Hispanic turnout in every election until at least 2030. Fastest growing population and all that jazz.

A resident is a resident. There's no longevity requirement.

Gisele posted that she and Tom are not voting for Sniffles.

Good for you, but the fact remains they're living in Maine more than their home state for those four years. Why shouldn't they be able to vote there?

Either that's the truth or they realize the brand damage that will occur being associated with a loser like Trump. SAD!
