Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Here's some more of those pretty good ideas Sic thinks the alt-right has: http://www.nationalreview.com/artic...alt-right-internet-abuse-never-trump-movement

What in the bloody < bleep > are you talking about. I have made no such statements and never shall.

Just because someone is not left rail liberal does not automatically make them right rail alt-right. Again I say the political view xenophobia with some of you is quite strong.

Imagine the torment of poor Mrs. Ted, having to stare into that 'O' face once a month.

"Let's get one thing straight Ted, once a month, with the lights out, from behind, non-negotiable, take it or leave it. Are we good?"

"Yes, dear."

Every one of those Alex Jones-type guys owes Art Bell half his paycheck. He was working in the trenches before it was cool to allow completely insane people unscreened on air. He was also awesome.

Nope. I don't want Art Bell over night.
Let's give some props to Clyde Lewis. --> http://www.groundzeromedia.org/
He's not pro-Trump, but he's hacking enough on Clinton and the system that I think Trump TV would hire him. And he does the paranormal stuff too. He can do the overnights.

Last night was especially good: http://www.groundzeromedia.org/2016/10/26/1026-nominative-neglectio-neglection-2016-w-greg-palast/

640Toronto.com runs classic Coast to Coast AM on Sunday nights (9-12 pm Eastern). About half the time it's Art Bell.

Anyone who isn't an official representative, and attempts to "monitor" a polling station should be arrested. Period. Looking forward to strict enforcement of this.

Don't most states have "set back" laws that require folks to not loiter within a certain distance of polling stations.

That is great; I wonder if they stream. I would listen just for that.

I actually used to pick up Bell's show's over air in Portland from all the way out in Nevada. It was the rock cocaine of High Weirdness. He basically got me through my PTSD from law school.

I know there are laws about not having any literature or signage, but I never heard they could kick you off premises.

The local fundy numbnuts hang out to hassle people over school board choices. It's always instructive to hear who they are against.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Listening to Art Bell back in the early 2000s was quite an eye opener. Even as a teen, I knew a lot of the stuff he talked about was batsh*t crazy, but I couldn't turn it off.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

When I was younger my dad and I were listening to Coast to Coast around 1 in the morning on a drive back from somewhere. Art had a guy on talking about reptoids/reptilians. All was fun until we got home and the light in the bathroom went out on its own while I was brushing my teeth.

When your idea of really smart, irreverent humor is photoshopping a picture of someone's 7-year-old daughter into a picture of a gas chamber, you're a piece of **** as a human being.

So, let me get this straight: By reading an article called "An Establishment Conservative's Guide to the Alt Right" I'm suddenly part of the Alt-Right?

Let's be clear. I read a piece, analyze it (witness phrases like "I wonder if"), critique it ("the article is long; but, it is solidly written and clear"), and thus I am it? Really? Really?

I advocated none of it; I read and analyzed (because I had no idea what the "Alt-Right" was before being exposed to the concept here). If you can't see analysis and critique (and no advocating) you really need to revisit reading skills and critical thinking.

Because I dare listen or learn of another's point of view does not make me that viewpoint. I appreciate and understand Kep and Rover (mostly; and nobody understands Scoob. ;) ) But I also understand the views of Flag and SJHovey. Neither set scares me. Nor does reading about the (current bogeyman) "Alt-Right" scare me any more than the ravings at the DailyKos.

I'm from the school that says if you don't understand and can argue both sides, you don't know the argument. I know that is foreign to some, and dare I say anathema to others.

The failing of people to seek out other points of view to challenge what they believe to ensure what they believe is what they believe is what is wrong today.

Your analysis was that they were really smart, with irreverent humor. If you want to be upgraded from piece of **** human being to just really, really lacking in your abilities to "analyze" and incredibly naive, have at it.

P.S.-- The Mafia? Not just really shrewd businessmen in the fields of construction and garbage disposal, hayseed.
