Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Cornell math.

C'mon man ... hang the curve and someone will hack at it. ;)

A low blow but I like it! :D

Looks like Kep cleaned it up but I wasn't sure if "Write in Mike Pence" was becoming a bigger phenomenon than just wishy washy GOP senators up for re-election who are looking to save their own hides.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Trump has been at war with the OH GOP the whole election. It's bizarre but it actually does not seem to be hurting him.

I think that last sentence remains to be seen. In a close race where he's reliant on people outside his campaign turning out voters, having Kasich's machine behind him, or not having his machine behind him, could cost Trump the state.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Hmmm... Reports out there that the FBI is reopening the investigation into Hils emails...

Edit: Here's a tweet.

http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/28/fbi-probing-new-clinton-emails.html

NBC News reported that Judiciary Committee Republicans were not expecting this news from the FBI, and it is not in response to any question from the Senate Judiciary Republicans.

Say what? Somebody in the FBI didn't like what they read on Wikileaks over lunch I guess. :p

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Even IF they decide to prosecute, and find someone to take the job to prosecute, and EVEN IF that prosecutor(s) win the case....that prosecutor's career is done. No one will want to touch them again. I think that's part of the reason the FBI didn't go after her the first time around. /2cents

Ya think?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

No comment here on Mike Pence's plane skidding off the runway?

I was waiting for how long it would take for someone to blame that on Clinton. Shining up my tinfoil hat....I'd say it could an inside job to garner sympathy for Pence!!

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear pertinent to the investigation," Comey wrote the chairmen. "I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

The pilot went to Trump University. <-- How's that? :)

(Politics may be blood sport, but near plane disasters aren't really that much fun to joke about.)

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Timing is odd to say the least, but for Comey's sake he'd better have an e-mail where she's asking ISIS what bank account # to use to funnel campaign donations to them. :D The optics here, which I know shouldn't matter, are horrific. If they had anything on her, why didn't they find this stuff earlier, and if they don't you don't throw this out two weeks before election day. What exactly were they investigating they investigating when they came across this info?

Figured it was symbolic of Trump's campaign. Every time you think it's going to crash, everyone comes out fine.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

The last 342 investigations into Whitewater/Benghazi/emails found nothing, but I've got a good feeling about this one.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Lol. No Doubt Trump will be announcing this afternoon that as President he's decided he will appoint Ken Starr special prosecutor.

Would Comey take this take this step 11 days before the election for Hil's yoga emails? Just when you thought the election plot couldn't thicken any more...

Given Starr's recent history of ignoring the kind of acts Trump perpetrates, that actually is a good strategy for him.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Since the FBI has time on their hands, I'm assuming they and the DOJ are also looking into and will have boots on the ground to prevent people from trying to disrupt the voting process on election day?
