Trump would actually have a shot if he wouldn't have a consistent pattern of shooting himself over the years.

All that, and still, right now, the smart money is on that the Clinton campaign (meaning CNN et al) has something as bad or worse to spring within 48 hours of Debate 3.

Meanwhile, Trump circle gloating. Privately mocking elected Rs who are agonizing. One laughed and said, "We don't care."

Yeah, it's getting close to epic. Here's hoping they hold on because of the base arousal and then another video pops up.

That's just going to add fuel to "The fix is in! Trump's there to lose to Hillary to support their Wall Street friends and the vast Uniparty" mindset.

I don't think this is so, because the "if we lose it's fixed" types and the Deplorables are the same people.

The thing that has to terrify the GOP is if conservatism or the party conflict with Trump, his cult of personality is going to side with him. When Republican pols castigated Trump for Pussygate, the crowd booed the Republicans.

I have not seen this much of a disconnect between the corporate cons and the Deplorables since TARP. That time Congressional Democrats bailed the GOP out. This time the split is at eye level and there's nobody to save Priebus, Ryan and McConnell.

But to be fair NowCast has had her as high as 94%. I am not convinced this is the stake that will annihilate Dracutrump.

Polls Plus is probably going to start amplifying the lead fairly soon. The model tries to let the time remaining preserve the possibility of regression to the mean, but we are rounding the far turn now. Trump is running out of runway.

Polls only has her with 335 EVs and an 83% to win. Polls Plus has her with 319 and putrid 79.8% chance to win. No matter which you choose it is becoming clear. His last hope was a home run in the debate and Julian Assange getting some inside dope from his Russian sources...oops :D

I don't completely buy that.

A big part of the "fix is in" crowd are Bern-ers, the anti-Wall Street folks. They saw where Clinton got most of her money and were repulsed. They saw their guy get put down by the DNC and now they see Trump melting down with the media wing of the DNC (i.e. CNN and MSNBC) holding the torch.

And they see Candidate Hillary left standing unscathed through it all, no matter what they point out (from within the liberal ranks no less).

How some of them ever got tangled with Trump (the non-insider insider?) still baffles me.

While this could be so I have to say that despite my travels in the Bernie Orbit I have no met anyone like that. All the Bernie partisans I personally know always knew we were going to have to back Hillary in the general, and that it was bad juju to rerun the nomination phase and the only people trying to get us to do that were GOP concern trolls.

I haven't met anybody who went Bernie to Trump. I suppose they might exist, but I think 4 of 5 sightings are Redstate trying to gin up trouble.
