I'm curious if you guys will have any c*m left after this four day circle jerk is over.

I am curious if you have actually read anything that was posted or just thought you were gonna be like super clever and make a funny? If that was your goal you failed epicly.

Handy

Baxk when I was a chid, the local NYC stations would run a PSA every year reminding all aliens to go to the local post office and register with INS by filling out a card.

It has been done before and I don't recall a public outcry against registration.

If you register everyone who is here and is not a citizen, it can't be discrimination.

You do realize there are a couple million Muslims in this country who are citizens, right?

So asking citizens (this isnt about aliens though nice try) to register because of their faith is ok with you? What else do you trust the government (and Drumpf in particular) to have lists of? Let me guess...you feel if the Muslims dont have something to hide they should have no issue right?

Maybe it is the European Jew in me...but I think anyone who agrees with that idea is a fascist who is looking for people to get rid of. Since we know Drumpf wants to do that it only enhances it. Small government indeed...

And Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Hindu and Buddists, plus the odd pagan here and there, too. Citizens are afforded the full rights under the Constitution. Non citizens should be accounted for.

And if Muslims are killing lots of innocents around the world, then perhaps it is a good idea to limit immigration from Muslim countries until we can figure out how to let the good folks in and the ones that wish us harm, out.

I love the Constitution, but as someone put it, the Constitution is not a suicide pact, either.

This could become a new refugee philosophy: we will accept any refugee from any country except for countries which have violence and are a risk of violent immigrants. How will we measure the risk of violence? By the fact of refugees who apply from that country.

"That's some catch that Catch-22." "It's the best."

the Constitution is not a suicide pact

That quote was clever the first dozen times I heard it. Then I realized that anybody who advocates any unconstitutional measure always has uses that quote to justify it.

Tell that to the parents that lost children at sandy hook. "oMG the second amendment!!!"

The death of others is not suicide.

What does that have to do with anything? Trump is calling for a registry of Muslims, and you start talking about immigrants. Those two groups do not completely or even mostly overlap.

And I really don't like the idea of religious tests for anything. Those never, ever, ever end well, and we have all too many examples from history.

This won't have the desired effect for several reasons. First and foremost is the terrorists in places like France are citizens and in some cases native born. Are we going to ban French immigration? Secondly the place a good deal, if not most of them, originate from is Saudi Arabia, who is our most important ally in the Middle East. Start banning all immigration from your biggest regional ally and do you expect them to just take it with a smile on their face or do they turn on the US and stop cooperating in the war against terrorists? I don't know, but something that needs more than a Trump like 5 seconds of consideration.

Nice dodge but we arent talking about immigration reform we are talking about registering Muslims already here. Why is that ok? What because you are scared of the big ole Brown People? Too bad suck it up you dont get to infringe on their rights because you wet your pants at the sight of a mosque.

So since the Constitution isnt a suicide pact...what other laws can we arbitrarily just get rid of in your mind? If Black people become dangerous can we just ignore the 13th and 14th Amendments? If women are all of a sudden seen as terrorists can we repeal the 19th? If a bunch of drunks go on a killing spree can we re-instate the 18th? If we are attacked tomorrow can we repeal the 22nd?

I guess it is true that if they arent screwing with your rights it must not be all that bad.

Yeah, but it's just temporary while these deep thinkers "figure it out".

Here's a law that does not seem to apply.

Huh...

Soooo....if the Dem convention is getting better ratings than the GOP, and Trump's speech got less rating than Mittens 4 years ago, doesn't that back up the notion that Trump isn't appealing to anybody new, but rather the same old tired crabby white guys?

I dunno but I find it very surprising. I didn't watch the Romney Snooze Fest but I watched every second of the Trump Hate Piñata just waiting for the production number.
