I could swear on a stack of hockey pucks that Jimmy did not support the Shah when the Ayatollah got frisky.

IINM, Jimmy was looking for a diplomatic solution (I believe he bribed Marcos to host the Shah in exile at first). The CIA also probably told him that if the SAVAK offices were raided it was going to go very badly for the US.

Is the thing about removing the "no tax exemption for churches that endorse candidates" clause even something evangelicals want? I've never heard that advocated in any circles, that seems completely out of left field. And, BTW, they have free speech currently, they just don't get it without a tax exemption, like that's some sort of God-given (pardon the pun) right.

I'm not a fan of either of the big two candidates, but I just think Trump is gonna get this done somehow and then who knows what the hell we're gonna be looking at the next few years. I really think he's gonna switch his tone and really play it towards the middle now; he doesn't care if he's switching his thoughts or views some, he just cares about winning; he'll do whatever it takes.

Interesting. While holding on to disenfranchised conservatives, I think he seriously tacked to the center. He kept his security and isolation message, but he spoke of helping the struggling, stopping oppression and discussed helping the cities, minorities and young. And he was going to standup for the defenseless.

Edit: it was a dark message that's for sure.

What separation of powers? Congress does zip, the courts legislate and the executive governs by executive orders.

If I was president, I'd keep sending laws back that mandate that the Executive write rules to implement the law. Do your job, Congress!!

Tonight was the best evidence yet, that outside of a couple of issues (immigration), he is not a conservative. He also became presidential tonight. That is to say no 'crooked Hillary'.

I didnt say they HAD to, I said I wish they would. Wear it like a badge of honor. If you think that walking toupee is good enough to be president and you want to vote for him own it! I owned that I voted for Nader despite the fact that every lefty I knew told me doing so somehow helped Dubya out. (which it didnt cause Minnesota went Blue like it always does) I totally own that I voted for Ventura. I voted for Obama in '08 and no one in '12.

Again no one has to do anything...I never deny anyone their rights. Just like I dont want others to infringe on my right to mock people who vote for either Hillary or Drumpf...everyone makes me laugh in this election

(if I vote it is 90% I am writing in a name or voting Libertarian...which will shock joe I am sure)
