Re: Campaign 2016 - It's never too late to start all over again!

The women was involved in the assassination of four embassy workers in Benghazi, and you're worried about a stinkin' BURRITO?!?!?!

Of course, I'll be shocked if we even have an election at the rate things are going.

Who here was worried about it? The RNC was worried about it, we're just commenting on how low they're already going in order to discredit a candidate.

If anything, I'd be disappointed in the Chipotle shop for stating if she tipped or not. In fact, if it was my local shop, I'd stop going there. I don't care who it is, it shows a lack of character on the staff and the restaraunt's ownership.

heh

I'm actually a very generous tipper. Typically 20-30 percent. I won't tip fast food. Period. I worked in the industry for six years in middle and high school.

I know; just always love an excuse to post that clip.

I'm kind of with you on this. It's just sleazy.

It may just have been some poor shmoe on the front line being battered by media questions. I imagine it's rough when The Circus descends on you.

Today in derp.

I hope this becomes a righty meme. Women will respond really, really positively to it.

Can someone explain to me how Marco Rubio pronounces Chipotle as "Chipolte"?

This significantly improves the Dems' chances of holding the Senate in 2018 if they retake it as expected in 2016.

On Sunday, Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin announced that he would seek re-election to the Senate in 2018 rather than run for his old job as governor next year. The move comes as a surprise: Manchin was not subtle about his unhappiness in Washington, and he appeared to be gearing up for a gubernatorial bid.

In a midterm, an open seat statewide election in WV would have been a gimme for the Republicans. This will still likely be a difficult re-election for Manchin since all the demographic trending is upstream.

This is all assuming that Hillary's magic pixie dust with white Rust Belt moderates is not real. If it is (Rover will now assert it is), then not only is that seat safe but Toomey's (PA; 2016) and Portman's (OH; 2016) are also up for grabs.

Yeah, but Walker will be in the White House so it won't matter. We'll also have tons of boots on the ground in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Afghanistan.

Scooby, pls.

First off, Walker's never going to be president. Ever. Walker is a joke.

Secondly, it's possible that if Jeb or Rubio win, their psychotic PNAC buddies will manage another oil war or two to prop up the Saudis and keep the profits flowing. But a Democratic Senate will still matter.

Finally, on the off chance that Hillary actually, you know, wins, a Democratic Senate throughout her first term means at least 2 SCOTUS justices and likely a flip from 4-5 to 5-4, and the possible reversal of McCutcheon and perhaps even Citizens United. I'll grant you it won't help on civil liberties or the Imperium, but as Rover will tell you, any time you can stop the dingos from eating a baby, do it.

Yeah, that's the same thing I said about W. Look what happened.

Not a lot to do with Hillary but I think GOP race baiting in the Obama era drove down his 2012 #'s amongst working class rural whites. Most realistic Dem nominees would be able to improve upon his #'s in these areas.

Having said that, these people aren't the future for the Dems anyway. I'd expect the Dems to elect a Senator from Georgia sooner than another one from West Virginia or Kentucky. Dems thrive in places where the population is college educated and successful. That's why they've made North Carolina a swing state and Virginia a blue state, two places that hadn't voted Dem since 1976. Forget about Appalachia or the inland deep south and keep up the pressure on the East Coast for states where the economy doesn't revolve around Wal-Mart. Winning Virginia is big - Dem states now stretch from Maine to VA. Go after NC again as well as GA and you'd have an unbroken line from Canada to the Gulf with the exception of South Carolina.

Eventually, as the Reagan era taught us, if you keep winning a state on a Presidential level the rest of it will come around. It took awhile for the South to turn red on a state level, but if you liked what Ronbo was selling, eventually you'll vote for the Gov-Sen-state rep-dogcatcher ticket that believes in the same thing.

North Carolina had promise. But since the last couple of elections they've devolved back to a Kentucky.
