Campaign 2016 - A Trump l'oeil? Kepler's Laws of Election Motions? Ship of Fools?

The RNC's idea to limit debates wasn't a bad one. The problem is the 17 people running. Were it 7 or 8 candidates 8-10 debates would suffice. With the Dems 6 debates between 5 candidates also should do the trick.

ANyone catch the video of Rubio in Ohio saying that he was only there to lure LeBron back to Miami? I loled. That's some world-class trolling right there.

Re: Campaign 2016 - A Trump l'oeil? Kepler's Laws of Election Motions? Ship of Fools

6 debates are enough. They're scripted BS for the most part anyway.

That's not a reason to limit the debates, it's a reason to reform them.

For one thing, let's stop calling them debates. A true debate has the debaters addressing each other. The front runners do not want that format because it maximizes their risk, but we shouldn't be doing the debates for the candidates, we should be doing them for the voters.

The DNC is running out the clock on the coronation. I'm surprised they allowed 6.

I've always kinda joked to myself that politics these days are like professional wrestling with faces and heels cutting promos and acting appropriately. Get that cheap heat, Rubio.

In several European countries there have been joke candidates who wound up in double digits in the vote. None of them could hold a candle to Trump for buffoonery, and they were doing it on purpose.

From Rolling Stone, its the GOP Debate Drinking Game!!!! :D

Drink THE FIRST TIME:

1. Donald Trump mentions his wealth, or how smart he is.

2. A candidate mentions Benghazi

3. A candidate says, "This president..."

4. A candidate whines about not getting called on enough.

5. Someone promises to "take America back."

6. Trump interrupts someone by saying, "Excuse me, let me answer that…"

7. Anyone mentions Hitler, Nazis or Neville Chamberlain. Includes related imagery, e.g. "ovens."

8. The crowd cheers a racist/bigoted statement by a candidate.

9. A candidate mentions his poor/hardscrabble upbringing, or a parent who "worked every day of his life."

10. A candidate talks about "stopping Hillary Clinton."

11. Anyone warns the U.S. is becoming Greece.

12. Trump refers to himself in the third person.

13. Anyone invokes St. Ronald Reagan.

Drink EVERY time a candidate:

14. Claims a positive relationship with a minority. Also known as the, "Some of my best friends are…" rule.

15. Tries to speak Spanish

16. Tries to warm up to the Ohio crowd with an awkward LeBron shout-out.

Drink EVERY TIME you hear the word(s):

17. "I'm not a scientist."

18. "You can keep your doctor."

19. "ACORN."

20. "The war on Christians."

21. "Thug."

22. "Right here in Ohio."

23. "Culture of dependency."

TAKE A SHOT OF JAGER AT ANY MENTION OF:

24. "Kenya."

25. "All Lives Matter."

I DVR'ed. I'm hearing on Fox right now that Carly won the kiddie table. I'm watching it later or tomorrow. Lots of coverage tonight so don't have time for it tonight maybe.

MSNBC picks Carly as well for the winner of Kiddie Table 2015.

Mr. Breathed is going to get a month's worth of material in the next 2 hours.

EDIT: Mrs. Robinson anyone?......
Going to the candidates' debate.
Laugh about it, shout about it
When you've got to choose
Every way you look at this you lose.

Imagine the evil that would be expunged with a single roof collapse.....

This is the greatest thing of all time. I know Will Ferrell already made a political comedy, but this is literally what it would be like if he played Donald Trump trying to become president.

Trump turns this into a clown car. the first debate was better. you go girlfriend!

Re: Campaign 2016 - A Trump l'oeil? Kepler's Laws of Election Motions? Ship of Fools

This is like watching tryouts. The main event is 15 months away people.

And to think it will be 11 months or so before they announce the final cuts.

Re: Campaign 2016 - A Trump l'oeil? Kepler's Laws of Election Motions? Ship of Fools

Kasich is rational, he needs to find a different party.

On any given issue one or two of the ten had an intelligent policy. Presumably the final GOP platform will contain none of them.

Jesus. I knew Trump was an idiot going in, but **** did he do a good job of confirming it.
