Business, Economics, and Taxes: Eat Cereal for Dinner

As a Swede I love then but they’re never ranked well on reliability and seem expensive to upkeep

I think I'm sticking with Japanese for now. The Acura has been good but it's beginning to show its age.

Probably looking at a minivan next though lol. It's really hard to beat sliding doors and the features they throw into those now.

Unfortunately the only people mover the make is the MDX and while the loaners I've had have fixed every complaint I've had about mine (swoooooon, my god they're good), it's just not the most practical choice for kids. OTOH, the safety of the MDX is quite good and the handling and AWD is spectacular.

You could do a pilot or Highlander

the funny thing is, the high end pilots are the same price as an mdx

They just trick the hell out of vans nowadays. Hard to ignore. They're practically marketed towards men. Look at the trim packages lol.

Welcome to the club. We force fit our first kid into our existing CR-V, but we went car shopping a month before our second was born. My wife *really* wanted a Highlander, so off we went to Toyota. We were talking with the salesman about all our use cases (parents coming to town to visit, etc) and after a few minutes, he said, "I hate to break it to you folks, but you're describing a minivan."

He was so right and I don't know how we would have survived without our Toyota Sienna over these past 6 years.

If you’re going for a minivan, I would give a long, hard look at the Toyota. Last time I looked, they were the best by a long shot. The only thing I can think of that might’ve changed their ranking is if Toyota has updated the Sienna’s engine to what’s in their Tacomas, which hasn’t been well received.

For anyone who is concerned about food prices, please check out Too Good To Go.

Restaurants list unsold food at deep discounts. Sometimes it’s an entree and you won’t know which one. Sometimes it’s a bag of ingredients or a big bag of bakery items from a grocery store

I waited for a long time for twin cities to participate. Not great choices yet but hopefully it catches on
