Biggest takeaway I had from this, and I saw a few people float this on Bluesky, is that this stunt just publicly demonstrated how weak Trump is globally. He does something you don't like? Sit back and call in some debt repayment on the loans your country holds on him. Dude collapses faster than a clearance section camping chair from Walmart. China is putting on a display for the rest of the world as well. Skip the middle man (USA) and just deal with us directly.

China takes over what USAID used to do for the world. Allied with the EU on technology and medical research. Cut favorable trade deals with them while tariffing the crap out of the US.

To me the biggest takeaway (besides yours is) that even in the best light Trump is so incompetent his own sycophants freaked out and forced him to reverse course because they had no one else to blame the bond market problems on. In the best light he was dumb enough to nuke the economy so badly he needed to be stopped. And once more for the cheap seats THATS IN THE BEST LIGHT!!!

In the U.S., approximately 19% of the population aged 25-54 is not working and not actively seeking work. This translates to roughly 21 million Americans in that age range who are "out of the labor force".

Quick being a leach and do something with your life.
