Whoopsie...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-conversation="none"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The Labor Department admitted that government household survey-takers mistakenly counted about 4.9 million temporarily laid-off people as employed. The government doesn't correct its survey results for fear of the appearance of political manipulation.</p>— MPR News (@MPRnews) <a href="https://twitter.com/MPRnews/status/1268921394663841792?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 5, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I'm sure that's just an innocent accident.

I hope the MSM leads with the real figure, then follows up with "White House releases incorrect figure." Gives the White House "mistake" as their explanation and let's it hang there.

Sounds like Walz will be opening up indoor dining in restaurants, as well as movie theaters, swimming pools, etc..., at least on a limited basis.

Re: Business, Economics, and Taxes: Capitalism. Yay? >=(

So you mean the "real" unemployment figure is a lot higher than Obama is telling us?

My BIL owns a bar. He is limited to 50 people, all outside. He’s has had to take reservations not only for start time of patrons, but also their end times. He has no wiggle room to allow walk-in patrons. It’s a nightmare for him, and it’s upsetting customers. This is in accordance with Maplewood’s requirements.

Delta ends its Mpls-Williston service. Big Oil losing its voice for the time being.

My local brewery is the same way. Start/end times, don't show up you are charged a fee, no walk-ins period.

They did a test run this week, didn't allow reservations past the test run until last night. It worked well, so they are continuing this method. Of course, I dunno how (or if) they'll do the indoor seating, but we'll see.

Huh. Who knew a recession could be triggered just by Senators selling off a bunch of stocks?

All I want to know is when I should put my 401k into a money market account before the next crash...

He is completely oblivious to what's really happening in this country — and hardworking Americans are paying the price."

Biden knows how to run a 1955 campaign, and Dump is the perfect foil for it.

I swear the Democratic convention is going to be televised in black and white this year.

The Republican will only be in white.

Interesting tweet. It's all part of the grand scheme put in by the Reagan Administration to cement in the Plutocracy. Every crisis that occurs makes the plutocracy that much tougher to remove from existence. Some journalists have tried to write books and comment on it but it never gains any traction where it needs to gain traction. So, the gap grows ever wider.
