I am thinking about exiting any index funds until SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic have had their IPOs and the subsequent cratering of their shareholder value, then buying back in at the bottom. I could just snapshot my current holdings and replicate them with direct investment.
 
If the economic catastrophe is as bad as people think it will be, it might be best to convert all your holdings to cash and then withdraw it in $1 denominations. At the very least, the fire you build with the worthless currency will keep you warm.

Ive converted my $ into firewood and soon to be batteries and off grid inverter to add to my 8.6 k worth of solar array. Next will be beans and rice

wait till your neighbors realize the largest natty gas producer in the world is shut down and american producers are shipping it overseas for big profits. Maine gets 40 plus% of its electricity from natty gas.
