Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

Old station wagons are very collectible, Dads ordered them with 4 speeds and big motors in the late 60s and early 70s.

Same here. Dad had a 1961 aquamarine Olds. And that was when colors popped, they weren't the castrated anodyne wuss colors of today.

We had a wagon with the wood panels back in the mid-to-late 80s. It was a Chrysler, so in for service all the time. The last and only Chrysler my dad ever owned, pretty sure he dumped it after only a couple of years.

My family sees your Chrysler wagon, and raises with our family car, a 1976 Dodge 15-passenger beauty:

(Our colors were reversed - cream with an orange stripe)

It must’ve been in the bay next to yours at the shop!

I’m excited when they start reporting on Bluto kidnapping Olive Oyl while the police do nothing about it.

Economy is fixed now.
Meanwhile, the automakers in Europe are pushing to *increase* the push to electric and off fossil fuels because "China isn't letting up."

So, congratulations America, you're going to have the newest Lada: a car relevant in only one country because the world has moved on without you.

I would not assume that car makers react to the change. We very much ignored it back the last time.

Netflix has emerged as the winner in the fight to acquire Warner Bros.

The deal is going to be worth approximately $85 Billion if it's allowed to happen.

I mean, sure... Netflix has yet to be profitable a single day in their existence and already has 300 Million subscribers.... How much room is there for them to grow?

They are the prime example of a modern business that has their entire growth scheme based around acquisition, debt, and POTENTIAL revenue that never comes to fruition.
