No one takes her seriously after the whole Native thing

Is this really what they think in FoxWorld(tm)?

I don't know of anyone who cares a whit about the whole Injun thing, including the frothing Dumpies at my work. I know Hannity et al. love to ladle this out to their eejits, but I have not heard one sentient individual say it's anything but BS.

No, it's a new way to grease the way for your kid to get into Prestige U

Somebody on POTUS bothered to track the political contributions of the parents who got stung. They broke evenly between the parties.

He’s going after GM this morning, too.

I found it interesting that yet again the union is getting blamed. CEO's get paid huge money and are just full of excuses. It's no wonder they're moving everything to countries where the environment and workers don't matter.

Re: Business, Economics, and Tax Policy 8: Bezos Takes Over the World

That's very capitalist of POTUS, to tell a corporation how they should be running their affairs.

Re: Business, Economics, and Tax Policy 8: Bezos Takes Over the World

There's never been any solution for this problem. Education, jobs retraining and social safety nets are the closest we can come.

Jobs retraining doesn't work. The dole is the only social institution we've ever created for people put out of work.

Well, that and genocide. That works, too.

Huh. Either someone sees the guillotines cresting the horizon or he's had a stroke.

No, what he's really saying is, The company's doing fine...for now. While the economy's been bifurcated, he's simply chopping off the tail of his thoughts.

He knows that banks make a lot of money off of people who really can't afford what they're purchasing, be it the credit card interest or overdraft charges. He needs people on the fringe of a healthy economy, not those left so far behind that they're relying on payday loans to purchase their products.

Job training may not have been as successful as possible...but that's on individual motivations, the implementation, and not the concept. And the dole is an important positive, but it just puts a few more dollars in the pockets of those left behind...not help them move forward.

How about whatever the guy's name is, running for pres, something Wang. Guaranteed minimum income for everyone over 18. $1000/ month.

But yeah, I know, that's SOCIALISM!!!

Why are we giving Donald Trump and the Kardashians a guaranteed minimum income again?

This class action lawsuit against the National Realtors Association (and others) seems like it could be a pretty big deal.

If the court rules in favor of the plaintiffs here, Realtor associations evaporate, the MLS likely dies off, and the entire infrastructure of residential real estate in the United States has to be remade.

No. It is a classic example of something that sounds lovely and has exactly zero actual value in the real world.

You would be better off just lighting the dollars on fire. At least the recipients would be warm then.

Sometimes bullsh-t is just bullsh-t. "Just say no." "Thoughts and prayers." And this. Magical thinking.

I hear ya. Worst thing that ever happened to the Rhode Island economy, particularly Providence, is when the feds put the Mafia out of business! Skills such as leg breaking, get away driver, and body disposal just don't translate into biotech or computer programming. **** government. :D
