American Capitalism Isn’t Working.

Not so long ago, corporate leaders understood they had a stake in the country’s prosperity.

This is a great article that explains how things have changed over the years and how those changes are destroying the country. Fits right in with the 23 trillion the Republicans have stolen from the lower and middle classes since 1980.

That figure is in nominal points shed, not percentage down. Trump is bad for the economy in the long-term, but let's not overstate things and diminish the real horrors that are certain to come.

No, it's the Federal Reserve's constant activity that is bad for a fiat economy. Why does the left always tout about Obama's economy? What really happened? Simple: The Federal Reserve stayed out of the way. The Fed is the real enemy. Not the orange man, like you've been programmed to believe. All evidence of Fed action and crashes is correlated.

That 0% floor is terrifying when you see what happens immediately before and during recessions. While there were many reasons the recovery after the great recession was slow, that graph shows part of the issue.

If you don’t have a hick enough cushion, you hit the ground. What happens when a falling object hits the ground? Imagine if we had another recession when rates were effectively zero. It’s the kind of thing that keeps economists up at night. Just a quick look at that chart, and this isn’t perfect, but rates drop between 4-7 percentage points around a recession. We’re at 2% right now.

If you don’t have an interest rate lever, the economy is going to find its level in other probably more destructive ways.

Umm, no. Everything you just wrote completely negates reality. The Fed did nothing during Obama's 8 years? You're truck in delusional. Keep sniffing that gigantic orange as azz.

People like flaggy often live with their parents or in manufactured housing, but they have a ton of closets jam-packed with globalists, Clintonistas and, apparently, the Fed. It would be interesting to know the pecking order in there and how they know when to come out at night.

Depends on what weapon you're holding - stake, assault rifle with silver bullets, or a broadsword.

Fed raising rates another quarter percent. They've done it every quarter since Trump was elected. Take a look at Fed policy in 1986 and 1987 prior to that crash. It should look familiar, because it's the same thing.

A market correction because of overvaluation?

Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh.... way to really step out on a branch on that one. Pretty sure a lot of us have been saying that it's due to happen. Welcome back to reality.

More damage to the markets today. Dow down 400+ again.
