(Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

NHL Network might pick this game up Friday

That appears to be confirmed. NHL Network will carry Friday's game. Presumably that will be the Miami team from ONN - Dave Allen (who used to do our radio, now does TV) and I would hope for Neil Sika (who used to do, or still does do, OSU radio) over Kevin Ackley (former St. Lawrence goaltender).

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Ferris has been tough on us as of late. I'm sure the guys will take that into consideration for the week's preparation. I would not be surprised to see a split. Bob Daniels has definitely figured out how to beat Rico's system.

I'll be watching from home Friday, but in attendance on Saturday night.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Where do you see that the game will be televised on the NHL Network? It is not on Miami's site or CCHA.com

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Anybody know if there is any way to tell how many people watched/or the ratings of that game next week?

Nielsen ratings, Im sure they have a website. that would be my guess.

As for amount of goals scores etc etc. Miami has been inconsistant offensively this year, but one thing has been consistant and that is their team defense has played superb. Cody is in a zone, but I think it is a far stretch to use they team "definantly" in refering to any possible Ferris sweep. Yes Ferris is a solid program ( kind of grew up with it, my dad is an alum ) but I think it is a winning weekend should Ferris steal a game.

I think we are all in agreement Miami is the better team and being at home I think it is good for atleast one win. But if Ferris can be disruptive in the neutral zone the could get miami off their game. The one thing Ferris will need to do is create odd man rushes. Miami has tremendous size and strength on the back line that 2 on 2's and such won't be successfull for Ferris. They will need to move the puck quickly in transition to catch Miami.

I think Ferris will test miami, but it won't be anything they haven't seen already this season. Whereas Ferris really hasn't played anyone near Miami's Caliber this year. The question I have is if Miami can be focused and take care of buisness this weekend without a let down mentally after their tough first 10 games.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Anyone going to the games this weekend on USCHO?

I'll be at both... hiding in the student section and hoping they don't look too closely at my student ID :D Dragging the little brother (high school senior) to his first-ever ice hockey games to convince him to attend Miami.

Note: Also the first Miami home games I've ever attended without playing in the band!

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

I'll be there on Saturday. Wife has to work Saturday morning so I can't get away tomorrow after work unless I go separately, which would just be a big waste of gas to take both cars. So, ONN/NHL Network for me tomorrow night.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Wanted to go check out the new Buffalo Wild Wings that just opened in Big Rapids. Unfortunately, they won't be showing the game even though they have the NHL Network. So the local team is getting national TV coverage and you aren't showing it? That tells me you're a bunch of ****ing ****s that don't deserve this town. Thankfully, other bars in town don't hold this sentiment.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Make sure that sentiment makes its way into the Torch and the Pioneer.

Apparently B-Dubs will have the game tomorrow night. I retract my previous statement as long as I can chow down on boneless wings while watching the game.

Haha Maybe Bdubs management is monitoring the board and decided to air it just for you! :p

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

As a lurker Miami fan - this one scares me .... of course, Miami can split and still be OK record-wise ... but would rather not. I've always respected Ferris despite their struggles.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Depends on what time I get back from the Adrian game tonight. It's likely that I'll catch the end of the game. Whether I'm happy remains to be seen.

Hammer, how is Eric Miller doing over there? Know the kid and his family well, and since you follow them thought you might be able to give some insight.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

He's healthy this year, so he should have another monster year on the scoresheet. They're going to absolutely sacrifice Northland this weekend. 25 goals on the weekend isn't out of the question for Adrian.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

I'm very interested in this weekend for Ferris. If we split we will make a strong statement about this team. It 's a given that Chupp's linemates must lead but last weekend it was nice to see good performances by others to lead us to a win as well.

Re: (Bubbalicious) Ferris State @ (#1) Miami

Don't know if it was said earlier, but Miami's junior class (and sophomores, obviously) have never beaten Ferris. Only team in the league for which that is true.
