I've been surprised Mercyhurst hasn't put this away yet. Some shades of UMD-Mercyhurst 2007, when the Lakers led early and let UMD hang around....
Terriers haven't quite figured out how to finish games yet. as soon as they do though, they will be a great team. This season BU has had a habit of getting down early, and then mounting comebacks in the third.
A high 30s shot count for Mercyhurst seems reasonable, given BU and Mercyhurst's histories this season. I don't see BU being held to too far under 20 shots.
and for Haber, who is really a great kid representing the athlete we adore in these women
For me, it's the opposite. I wanted to see Haber get lit up. She's one of the biggest hacks I've seen as a goaltender.
I first noticed it in that last game at the Whitt, where she threw punches at a UNH girl as she was chasing the puck behind the net.
Then, in Providence, she again threw punches, which the refs called her for, but for some reason matched it up.
Then in the 3rd period of that game, any time a UNH player was within arms reach, she was slashing at their ankles or reaching out trying to trip them.
When one of our guys yelled that she wasn't allowed to do that, she turned back towards us and said either "You suck" or "Get f ****"
This isn't the first incident with BU players either.
sorry freak, I stand by my opinion...she has always been respectful and classy with me...of course I was talking with her, not yelling over the boards..
Sorry man, but I have never seen her do that.FTR, I was not the one who she responding to.
But mostly, I am referring to the way she acts on the ice, and there is a big difference between forcing a forechecker wide, and slashing, tripping, and throwing punches.
Sorry man, but I have never seen her do that.
But as far as the rest, I have watched Haber play some horrible horrible games, and she leaves it on the ice. Once she's off, she doesn't talk about it or worry about it.
