BU @ RPI, Saturday 12/13

Re: BU @ RPI, Saturday 12/13

3-0 as Diebold gives one up that is almost impossible to give up. We have played about as well as these group can-being incredibly short handed. To give up this kind of goal is just heart breaking.

Re: BU @ RPI, Saturday 12/13

Thought that Diebold was looking pretty sharp tonight...but then a couple of softies.

Re: BU @ RPI, Saturday 12/13

Saying we outplayed them is like saying the operation was a success but the patient died. This is like a broken record. No offense - Appert is the Rex Ryan of div. 1 college hockey.

Re: BU @ RPI, Saturday 12/13

When's the last time we played BU at home and that didn't happen?

This has been a very exciting and close game on the ice. It is not on the scoreboard simply because we don't finish and we have let 2 softies in. But the officials have just allowed too much to go by(both ways) and you just feel what was about to happen.

Goal one was a bit weak. Goal two he would have to have been a magician to stop. Goal three-well, let's say that very few would have let in.

Re: BU @ RPI, Saturday 12/13

I thought (hoped) he got all of his softies out in Providence. Apparently, he's due at least one/game. Incredibly demoralizing for a team who's playing well in front of him.

Spot on. The boys have really done about what they could ever be expect to do. We have 28 SOG and we do not get that much in two periods very often. We kept BU backing up enough to keep this a low scoring game, which we had to do. Obviously BU has just so much talent to throw at us. But for at least part of tonight I can see us giving them a lot of trouble with a healthy front line-something we are far from right now.

Re: BU @ RPI, Saturday 12/13

He's basing it on how we've averaged less than 2 GF/G.

That's not really true, since reporting the mean for this application is somewhat dishonest. Our median goals per game is 2. We've scored two or more 10 times and less than two 8 times.

The expectancy is the mean not the median.

Hey, I'm only trying to figure out his drivel.

Although, now comes the weirdness to hope for PtC points...
