BU @ RPI, Saturday, 12/13/14

Re: BU @ RPI, Saturday, 12/13/14

That is the new Oscar's. The old one burned a few years ago and was rebuilt. They have expanded and have a web presence now. Had the absolute best smoked everything and incredible choices for condiments. Ik think they get a lot of business form rachel Ray bragging about their stuff all the time.

That is the second Oscar's. An institution in W'burg! Excellent smokehouse (that's not how the fire started) and I especially recommend the smoked cheeses and smoked chicken. Exit 23, route 9 on north end of village.

Let's put our best on the ice, get though finals and get some recuperation time for our players. Play it, Red!

Me too, but some of us here remember 1/14/69 when BU faced an RPI team forced to use Barry Sherwood, a center, as the goalie. :)
Things haven't gotten to the point where this year's RPI team needs to use a center as the goalie.

But if any more forwards get injured, we may see Jake Soffer at center. ;)

The lines have been posted on the game thread. Nanne and Kasdorf are dressed although JK is the backup.

watching miles away on my iPhon6 with retina resolution--quality of the telecast is first rate, including play-by-play -- wish BU had something half as good -- (though the Terriers win the Battle of the Bands)

Excellent job on the Webcast by RPI-TV. And nice to see highlights that show the play developing, not just the finish. Are you listening Agganis Arena Video? Just too bad the reel didn't include Matt O'Connor's remarkable first period skate save. That was indeed a highlight.

Sometime this week the entire broadcast will be archived at http://www.rpitv.org/categories/7-ice-hockey. It's not up there at the moment although there is a place for it.

Worth noting that the game was covered by a skeleton crew of five members and (apparently) one member's sister! Extremely impressive product for just six volunteers -- you'd never know by watching that the broadcast is completely student-run without pay, not affiliated with the athletics department, and funded by fellow students via the Student Union with an annual equipment budget of ~$12,000!
