BU Hockey '25-'26: Can we keep up the run to Vegas?

Question - during that kerfuffle, I thought I saw a Northeastern player go down the tunnel and he wasn’t happy. It was like he was mad he was called for something. Which he wasn’t. What did I see? Or not see?

I didn't see that, but Pandolfo was complaining about a hard hit on Big Mike in the crease during the last sequence. Could there have been a call?

This team is an utter joke. Can’t even win this one in regulation when they absolutely dominate. NU wasn’t interested whatsoever in this game. Can theythey at least win in OT?

This game says it all. We played fairly well for a can’ . I thought NU looked like they would rather be doing anything else but playing hockey. That lines up for a big win. But NU gets several bounces and get out of regulation 3-3. “Win” it in OT. Remember, it’s only 60% of a full win in the ratings system. Things just aren’t going well when they do the right things. Oh, and 2 vs 3 pts in the HE standings.

Hopefully we can have a big game at MSG and get home wins vs Vermont. Hold the line for a few more weeks, then wait for the calendar to change to 26. Sometimes that makes a difference for BU teams.

There was definitely stuff to build on tonight. I can’t tell how much of it was NU not caring but BU definitely played their best (almost) two periods of the year.

I think it was the best they've played this year. They pursued the puck, they finished their checks, they skated hard. Definitely a step forward. I saw hopeful glimmers of the team this team should and can be. The final game for Matthews Arena will be a holy war, and we get them again in the Beanpot semis. These teams just don't like each other.

It's time for a goalie change. Big Mike is leaving rebounds and that cost two goals tonight. There were several shots that should have scored that just hit him somewhere, but weren't actually saves by him. Make the position a competitive one. Make the starter earn it in practice. Raise the bar for both of them. Put a flame under their butts.

Glad they pulled that out but jeez, they shouldn’t have been in that position. If they played the third period the way they played the first two periods, they win that game in regulation. Northeastern controlled the play pretty much the entire third period. It was almost like they were so impressed with themselves after killing that 5-minute major at the end of the second that they felt they had the game in the bag.

Nervous about Red Hot Hockey. Given how they didn’t seem to handle the limelight at the Michigan State game, not sure what a sold out Madison Square Garden will do for them.

I’m showing my age with this comment: Love the goal, love the player, but ya at least gotta be above 500 to blow a lead, get 60% of a win, and then skate to the bench to rub your 6-7-1 season in the other team’s face, right? Just too young and competitively immature as a team with no leadership at the moment.

At the same time the whole reason these kids come here is to get better. Each of Jay’s teams have done exactly that. I’ll be (probably naively) holding out hope that they can turn the corner.

It's fun and a bit refreshing isn't it? In this era of NIL and the transfer portal, it seems like the only dislike is between the fan bases in the stands, so enjoyable to see it on the ice.

Last night was reminiscent of the Levi era games, BU dominating the shot clock, but NU winning the goaltending battle. Lucky to take something from that game

What is the story with Boisvert?
