oh I found them on the Garden site. It was just so difficult to find them. I hope BU has a good crowd!

That's a shame. Lowell has their usual Championship Central page up with all essential information including ticket links, special student ticket and bus deal, and the pregame at Hurricanes at 4 Friday. https://goriverhawks.com/sports/2022/3/12/HockeyEastCentral.aspx

Initially only Loge 2 and Balcony 302 and 303 were available for Lowell fans. Loge 2 has since sold out and they've expanded to Loge 3, 4, 5, and 6 (Loge 3 is almost sold out as well) as demand warranted.

That's a Garden problem, not a BU problem. They're talking about accessing the tickets through your "Garden account" via Ticketmaster which isn't automatically linked to your existing Ticketmaster account. It's a pain in the ass.

Was it Chris Peters that recently tweeted the story about Levi and how his career save % is the second highest of all time in college hockey?? Maybe it was Mike McMahon. Have to admit that surprised me, even though I knew he had great numbers. This year wasn't as high as last year, so that may not help him as much for POY votes.

No but when you see one guy with a .947 in league play that's still outrageous. Even if NU was a good defensive team. Next closest guy was at .929. That's a pretty big gap. The same applies to Hutson though. After Hutson, the next 18 top scorers in Hockey East are forwards. That is also outrageous. As I have said, I would vote Hutson. I am just skeptical the voters will go that way.

I see what everyone is saying about ROTY and POTY voting. In the Big Ten Adam Fantilli from Michigan was named ROTY leading the nation in scoring with 60 pts, but wasn’t POTY. That went to sophomore Matthew Knies of Minnesota with 40 pts. What? Knies is very good, but Fantilli had a superior season. Sounds like there’s no way Hutson wins both.

Now that is an utterly ridiculous decision by those voters. At least with Hutson and Levi we have different positions involved.

Not saying this is how it should be, but i think voters have this weird "show us for a couple of years" mentality for freshman who dominate the league like Hutson. Or maybe its because they think these guys will turn pro, and save the bigger awards for the guys that stick around. I'm happy Levi won, but he was better last year, and if you have a bad stretch like that (and i'm NU guy), you are probably not POY. Same thing last year with the Hobey. Levi probably deserved it, McKay had a longer body of work, but not a better season. How do you win the Hobey as a goalie, but not win the Richter?. None of it ever makes sense.

I have nothing against Pandolfo, and congrats to him for winning COY. But if you were picking sides for kickball or hockey, every day of the week you jump at the BU lineup (over pretty much any lineup in the conference). Borek has done a great job getting players to go to Merrimack, doing whatever he has to do to compete in HE. This would have been a good year to have co-COYs.

I thought they had a pre-conference dinner or something on Thursday where they would announce these. Am I misremembering? Seems odd to announce on a Wednesday morning. But yeah, based on everything I read here, I am surprised (though happy!) that Pandolfo won. And a little bummed that Levi won over Lane, even though I think he is one of the best goalies we've seen in Hockey East. Who does the actual voting? Coaches? Media?

Ya I don't understand Pandolfo winning it over Scott Borek. That just does not make sense.

I think pulling in a bunch of grad students and "free agents" didnt help Boreks case. Like it or not the coaches are human and probably realize that method of portal additions isnt really "coaching" its more poaching and more GM area than coaching area. Pandolfo was there last year and inherited a good team and had some huge freshman recruits but he did essentially turn the program around in one year.

"Eff them picks!!!!":)

Congrats to Jay, but c'mon, this is a travesty. Merrimack was picked 8th and ended up in 2nd. including 2 wins over BU! BU was picked 2nd and finished in 1st. Not exactly a huge accomplishment over what was expected.
Oh, and congrats to Hutson on the ROY.

JFC, we get it. You HATE the idea of bringing in players (especially GRAD players) through the portal. Borek didn't "POACH" anyone. Every player who enters the portal is available to EVERY TEAM. Stop with that foolish nonsense. He still had to COACH the players and blend them in with the existing players. Again, Jay is a terrific coach and did a great job this year, but let's also remember that they lost TWICE to Merrimack.
