Was recently named an All-Star at the World Junior A Challenge this past December.

Sweden's Tom Willander, 6'1" RD, is ranked #16 among international skaters by NHL Central Scouting. 6th ranked defenseman. Prior to the WJACs, he was a B-ranked skater by Central Scouting. Also played in Hlinka-Gretzky tournament this summer.

Game day! And it's snowing. (Weee!)

Let-down concerns against a lower tier Maine team? The students are back, here's hoping the building has some buzz.

Yeah, I was thinking that. (I'm sure you're all shocked)

Was looking at the HE standings. Surprised that BC has only played 19 games overall. And UNH has played 25. That's a big gap this late in the season, don't you think? And as a follow up to my previous post about the three BU Hobey candidates, I also noticed former Terrier Robert Mastrosimone on the list. Good for him.

In his media call, Pandolfo pointed out that Maine is 7-2-1 in its last 10 (after an awful start), noting that Maine is structured, good on the forecheck and hard to play against. They don't score that much, but Ostman has a 1.95 and keeps them in games.

BC thinks their Ivy League, soooo... (According to CHN it's PC with 25 games played. UNH at 24. BU is at 21.)

Found this article saying 2016 marked the 37th year of covering the championship game and 22nd of covering the Frozen Four. That would put the first year of covering semifinals as 1994 (ESPN2 went on the air in Oct 1993). So I would say no ESPN for the Colgate game in 1990 (or at least no broadcast on ESPN)

https://www.espnfrontrow.com/2016/04...pn-since-1980/

I did find the semi final game capsules and the two semi final games were picked up by Ch 25 (local). As were the BU MSU series at-least the final two games.

BU (25-16-2) vs Colgate (30-5-1) 5:00PM BC (28-12-1) vs Wisconsin (34-9-1) 8:00PM

BU goal leaders J. Sacco (28) S. McEachern (25) T. Amonte (25) Amonte had 10 goals in the post season alone
BC goal leaders D.Emma (38) S. Heinze (27) M. McInnis (24)
Colgate goals leaders J. Gardner (25) M. Dupere (23) S. Spott (20)
Wisconsin goal leaders G. Shuchuk (40) C. Tancill (36) J. Byce (24)

BU Goalies S. Cashman (23-13-1) 3.22 J. Bradley (2-3-1) 3.18
BC Goalies S. LeGrand (17-3) 2.73 S. Gallupo (11-9-1) 3.55
Colgate Goalie D. Gagnon (27-3-1) 2.73
Wisconsin Goalie D. Derksen (29-8-1) 3.48

Way to jump out of the gate with good energy and seize the W. I was actually impressed with Maine tonight. After we blitzed them, they showed good energy as well. They had great sticks on the middle of the ice to foil many plays. If they had some puck luck, it could have been a closer game. Commesso had a good one as well, and that always helps. Moved up to 6 in PWR with Ohio St. losing. Moving up in HE to 3rd with a game in hand on Merrimack. Things are looking good! On to Saturday…..

On the TV broadcast tonight, the play-by-play announcer continually referred to Lane Hutson and Quinn Hutson as "twins." They are both freshman, but that would be news to their parents, since Quinn is two years older.
