But the Ivies all have huge endowments (however, they aren't quite as huge these days) and can afford to fund most, if not all, student-athletes' educations purely with financial aid in various forms. So even though there aren't any official scholarships for athletes, we can still find ways to pay for them to attend the school. The problem is finding kids who meet the rigorous academic requirements and are also talented enough to play for a D-1 school (although, apparently we are the only one with that problem- Harvard, Cornell, Yale, Princeton, and Dartmouth have all found success recently, and all finished in the top 6 of the ECAC standings last year).
