Late penalty makes the start of the third period quite crucial. Cannot give Brown anything early (saying that, please see first period). At least the face off after this penalty is at center ice and not deep in our zone. We have been the better team for most of the first two periods and the score reflects that. Would be much more secure with a three goal cushion though.

I am honestly surprised by how much offense we have been showing in most of the games (Clarkson excluded). If someone could just please introduce the defensemen to each other so they can communicate better, our goal tender would have a bit more of an easy time. The rebounds scare me and our just taking too long playing with the puck deep in our zone, some times in front of the crease, is going to cost us.

In the past few years, even with a lead going into the third period, we have had difficulty keeping our foot on the gas. This is no time to let up and start that prevent defense. We have them down two goals and if that holds for a few minutes, they will have to start taking more chances with their defense coming up and joining the play which might open up the ice for some of our speed.
