Brothers on NCAA D1 teams

Re: Brothers on NCAA D1 teams

How about Merrimack College's F Elliott Sheen and Holy Cross' F Everett Sheen, who both wear number 11 I believe....

The Shore Brothers - 2nd oldest brother Nick (left) goes for the Gold Medal today against Sweden.
Their parents first date was a DU hockey game.

DU blew the opportunity to have the Testwuide brothers. J.P. was at DU but they didn't offer a full scholie to brother Mike, who ended up being a PioKiller at Colorado College.

Gwoz must have learned his lesson, because its been all brothers all the time since then.

As previously mentioned, DU has the Ostrow brothers and Carles, but the sibling pipeline is really heating up.

Nick Shore will join brother Drew at DU next season. DU also has a full scholie offered to younger brother Quentin who will play on the USNDP Under-17s next season. Supposedly the youngest Shore brother Baker (14), has the best slap shot in the family.

Next season Jarrod Mermis will join DU, while younger brother Dakota has committed to DU in 2012. Jarrod is on an academic scholarship, while Dakota is mentioned as a sure-fire first round NHL draft choice in 2012.

Finally, youngest Carle brother Alex was just named as a first team All-Alaska high school defenseman as a Sophomore.

Interesting Fun Fact: The Shore parents met while attending DU Law School. Their first date was a DU hockey game. 2011 recruit Scott Mayfield's parents also met at DU's Law School. Both Nick Shore and Scott Mayfield are expected to be first round draft choices in 2011.

Providence was going to have the O’Connor Brothers until younger brother Brice(EJHL’s defensemen of the year) de-committed and committed to Maine a few weeks ago.

Re: Brothers on NCAA D1 teams

For North Dakota...at least recently that I can think of:
Panzer
Genoway
Toews
Parise
Zajac
Jones
Hale
Lundbohm
Lamoureux

I'm sure there have been many, many more. :p

It seems like every year about 1/3 of our team has had a relative that played at UND.

there were like 3 full lines of hoogsteens and panzers IIRC around 96-97 through 99;)

Brothers on NCAA D1 teams

Weren't there three Ferguson brothers on the Cornell squad when Ken Dryden
was there in the60's? yeah, know I'm dating myself, and no, I didn't play wearing a leather helmet.

Re: Brothers on NCAA D1 teams

Bryce Geoffrion has committed to Alabama-Huntsville for next season. Given his hometown of Brentwood, Tenn., it is safe to assume he is the brother of current Charger Sebastian Geoffrion.

1. It's Brice.

2. Yes, they're Blake's brothers.

3. I have loved watching Seabass this year and can't wait for Brice to join him.
