Another Brock penalty at 9:24.

A bad giveaway in the RPI defensive zone led to a Brock scoring opportunity, but they didn't cash it in.

Power play goal at 11:06. Hallbauer had all kinds of room to walk in from the point and let his shot go.

RPI penalty on Polino at 12:19.

Not a good way for the penalty-killing unit to start the season.

It was announced that RPI will play the second line up at the half way point.

Hard to judge what all of this means as yet. We seem to be moving the puck fairly well but still plagued by so sloppy play in our own zone at times. I despise the drop pass as we come out of our own zone and think that is just asking for trouble against hard fore checking teams. Like the size of the defense and so far they are keeping things away from the crease in our zone. But it is only one period against an unknown quantity.
