The Alimony

The Telegraph understands that the final figure, which is deliberately being left open to interpretation, will be between €45bn and €55bn, depending on how each side calculates the output from an agreed methodology.

Re: Brexit - Should I stay or should I go??

I'm interested in Ireland/Northern Ireland. I can't find the link, but apparently Northern Ireland is staying in the EU, and could require hard border checkpoints/crossings to be rebuilt.
I'm pretty sure they are both going to go for some sort of relief from the rules on border crossings because Ireland is in the EU and Northern Ireland will not be. But who knows. They did announce they were not going to have border crossings no matter what. I think this amount is really just the tip of the iceberg and tons of jobs will be leaving Britain eventually.

Ahh, yes, thank you for correcting my geography. And I was just trying to recall the article I saw circling on Twitter.

Re: Brexit - Should I stay or should I go??

Not a bad time to push for Irish reunification. Ireland standard of living has soared and is now $61K GDP per capita...the greater UK is $38K GDP per capita. I can imagine Northern Ireland could stand to prosper quite a bit by becoming a sister city for Dublin rather than a distant afterthought of London.

And here comes the walk to the gallows??

48 Tory MPs have now written in to say they have no confidence in Theresa May's leadership, the BBC reports - which would automatically trigger a confidence vote in the Prime Minister.

Re: Brexit - Should I stay or should I go??

Is that the same as a vote of no confidence?

No. Unfortunately. The House held the Government in contempt for failure to release the full legal opinion on Brexit.

Mrs. May said she would release the full report.

unidan- 1,000 apologies. Though HH used it in the declarative rather than interrogative tense.

Survives 200-117 for this one. Now has to get her deal through Parliament, where if it fails, Labour can go for a no-confidence vote they could get to have *another* election

She has a 1 year reprieve for a NC vote. But if she loses Brexit, she has to go.
