Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

Re: Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

nope....If you hadn't noticed, Wilson didn't exactly set the world on fire after MA left the job....hard to figure she couldn't get it done, what with all  the BD's on campus these days.

Re: Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

First the PB's and now my beloved Mariners...how can it possibly get any worse??

Lot's of good ball players come out of British Columbia. Larry Walker, Justin Morneau, Rich Harden, Jason Bay, Ryan Dempster, Jeff Francis, Adam Loewen, Scott Mathieson just to name a few.... The Condor aka: B.C. native Michael Saunders could be just what the Mariners need. We`ll see,..one thing for sure , he`s going to hit some tater`s

Re: Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

Yes, lots of BD's...Even with that, Wilson [the Canadian] couldn't get the job done...Maybe another assistant coach would have helped ease her into position...to win more games.

Re: Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

I do not know how many Polar Bear games you attended in the past 3 seasons, but I thought Stacy was amazingly successful, given the state of the program she inherited. The Bowdoin women's head coaching position had gone through a revolving door phase (the Editor's daughter, an '08 grad, played under 3 different coaches, having been recruited by a 4th, in her 4 seasons) and the team Stacy coached her first season reflected that lack of focus. The quality of her recruits is obvious to anyone watching these past 2years. Had the Goal Gods so deemed the Polar Bears could have easily taken down Amherst in this year's NESCAC semi-final. Stacy did a fine job in her short tenure in Brunswick!

Re: Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

It seems strange for the vetting process to be so lengthy, but a candidate has been selected and an announcement should come along someday.

Re: Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

OneTimer notes on another thread that Williams has posted for a Head Women's Ice Hockey coach. I wonder what that could mean???

Re: Bowdoin's Stacy Wilson Resigns

probably means they don't have enough BD's on campus to fill the post in-house. Anyway...what is Bo-doin waiting for? Sid Watson ain't coming back to give it another shot. Maybe Ms. Amidon is re-considering that usa hockey 'promotion'?...it would mean fewer BD's but a better team I guess.

Better team you say...I'm thinkin they should get a few more Canadian's on their roster & stop the practice of running weaker teams out of the rink .....that oughta do it.

VD!

I can agree with the Canadian's portion, at least. The rest could only come from a resident of Calgary. Enough said:D

Fair enough, however even in Calgary we would never...ever... leave an
alma mater out to dry. It`s an integral part of the`` Code of the West`` that I wouldn`t expect you to comprehend or appreciate.

:D :D (double ....double as we know it...) :)
