OSU gave you a fair read on this year's Lakers, a very different team than last year's Lakers....

What he didn't say is you can join the "Over/Under" pool where you can wager "What time do the Lakers think the puck drops?" :confused::confused::D

This Laker team doesn't always remember the games start at 7:00pm Eastern Time - to many times it seemed to me their watches were set to Central time...:eek::mad:

I hope being one win away from the Land of 10,000 Lakes should take care of that!:D:D:D

after watching the game vs neumann, the bears looked a little like the lakers in that they pass alot and gave up a few good chances when they should have shot the puck, mainly on the PP, gotta give the bears alot of credit for NOT falling into the neumann trap of, of lets say, chippy play to be nice...so we know they have disapline...there goalie looks solid, but they did get caught on a few oddman rushes... looks to be a close game, nothing like last yr for sure..

I think playing this game is a waste of time. Let's face it: who would want to travel TO Oswego? Just advance Oswego to the semifinals.

and here's to hoping that comment comes back to bite you in the *****...though the Bowdoin team looks to be thin from injuries

I think he's a Bowdoin fan being sarcastic about all the Oswego pumping that goes on here :D

Most likely...as obnoxious as we Laker fans go, no one says anything THAT dumb.;)
As it were, this is a very fitting match to see if Oswego's even back to playoff caliber hockey, and Bowdoin is looking to give hell, so to make such a comment is ridiculous. Besides...one more game of hockey to watch is awesome:cool:.

T minus 24 hours until Campus Center Ice Arena is skated upon one last time.

I believe Downey and Lalor are out, with Matheson as questionable, and Hardy playing hurt. Obviously nothing's set until game time, but all of those players are very significant parts of the Bowdoin team

wish i could make the trip out to the game... grew up in brunswick and essentially inside dayton arena... wife's family has a place in fair haven, right down the road from oz...

Dear Bowdoin Bus Driver - I apologize for cuttiing you off and stopping in the Best Western parking lot so you could get a good long look at the Laker Hockey stickers on my back window. It was childish and bad sportsmanship on my part. It won't happen again..... Sincerely, LEL

So what do we think the over/under will be on attendance today?

There were over 1900 for 3 of the 4 games during winter break - Hamilton and Stevens Pt during the Pathfinder and Curry. I was a bit impressed to see there were 2300 for last year's game against Bowdoin. Hoping the Lakers can pack at least 2000 in there tonight.

I heard a rumor that they down to standing room only tickets left. Just a rumor I heard, hope it is true.

Laker ticket website still shows "good" availability...wonder when that changes to "fair" or "hurry up" or "head for Greene's" ???

Here's something I've been wondering since last year around this time: has Oswego ever considered moving up to Div. 1? Is it even a bigger school in the Sunyac, or are the others in upstate New York sort of largish too? All the talk about "rare" transfers from Div 1 schools is sort of intrigueing too. Maybe there's no just no division one comeptition for hockey on New York.

Why would Oswego invest the resources to go to Division I in hockey? They're just about as good financially as they can be with the hockey program.

Great game tonight! Not as close as score would indicate. Lakers took quick shots and rushed the net - not rocket science but it works! Except for those two inexpicable goals that Beckwith gave up in the third period Oswego was in contol form middle of the second on. They outpaced Bowdoin and looked stronger as the game went on. If they keep playing like this, they will be hard to beat.
