Bow(e)l score update thread 2009

Re: Bow(e)l score update thread 2009

Kind of an odd end to the half. AFA was on the Houston 2 with 18 seconds left, and no timeouts. Their QB dropped back and slipped on the grass thus ending the play, but no way to kill the clock as it was now fourth down. AFA managed to get their FG unit on the field, set and got the kick up and through before time expired. Got to love the discipline of the Academies. At halftime AFA leads Houston 24-6.

Re: Bow(e)l score update thread 2009

This game is freaking bizarre. The opening kickoff of the second half is returned for a TD by Houston. Not to be outdone, AFA then returns the ensuing kickoff for a TD. After 31 seconds of play, 14 points have been scored.

AFA 31 - Houston 13

Re: Bow(e)l score update thread 2009

Houston seems to be shredding the AFA defense now. With 12:48 to play in the third it's now 31-20 for AFA.

Re: Bow(e)l score update thread 2009

56 seconds gone in the fourth quarter and AFA makes it 41-20 Falcons on a one yard plunge.

Re: Bow(e)l score update thread 2009

This one not really in doubt now as AFA gets their fifth INT of the day with 5:54 to play and a 41-20 lead.

Re: Bow(e)l score update thread 2009

Weird play results in a Stanford TD to put them up 21-17 with 6:19 left in the half. Gerhardt on his way into the endzone is stripped of the ball. Oklahoma looked like they would recover but are unable to corral the loose ball and Stanford recovers for the TD.
