You know the Uline Arena in DC is currently a parking lot (though I have heard it was also a waste transfer facility)? If you need a facility in DC, I would suggest the Fort Dupont Ice Arena. It has it's own Park Police station. But, some of the locker rooms are the size of a closet.

This proves what we all knew all along. The committee made a huge mistake allowing Vermont in the field. Another hockey east school that had a much more futile season would have lost this game had they been allowed to play. I guarantee it.

You are making it sound like it was razed. Someone wanted to tear it down, but it was then listed as a historic landmark. It is indeed now used for parking, but it still stands. It was once used for waste transfer as you wrote.

Sadly, we'll need to wait for the reports. I have the first period of the early game at Lancaster, but once the sun started coming up, all of the long-path propagation was gone, and I could only hear some Hawaiian stations on 10m. Since the Barrow games were local time, WAY too late for anything on 80 there.

Yeah, it definitely still stands. I pass it every day on foot. We're good to go as long as we don't interfere with parking hours.

I think the reasoning is, incompetant refs, like those from the CCHA, can cause more havoc than having no refs at all.

I was talking with a ham on 15m this morning who somehow happened to hear the Northeastern/Clarkson game, and we had another upset. In a close match-up, Northeastern was able to defeat Clarkson by a score of 2 to 0.
