7. Bentley
8. Omaha
9. Miami (NOT Florida)
10. Michigan State
11. Wisconsin
12. Sacred Heart
13. Niagara
14. RPI
15. Holy Cross
16. Princeton

Of course, these rankings are completely arbitrary and they can and will change at all times.

Fade, JJM... Malcolm Portera called. if you remember, he's the guy who threatened to cut UAH hockey. Either way, he wants to be involved in the South Regional.

Good.

One would think that Sparty and Wisco's MARS ratings would be higher given their runner-up and Chumpionship finishes, respectively, in last year's BFB tourney. How much talent did they add?

There's a long waiting list to play for Wisco, but I don't think that figures into MARS.

He can threaten to cut a program in mid-game at the South Regional. He's in.

So our refs are set:

West: Governor Dunleavy
South: Malcolm Portera
East: Marty the Cat
Midwest: Frank Anzalone

We're still going with local drunks for off ice officials, etc.

Miss Amber's Ranking System is completely arbitrary. In other words, I felt like putting them there, so I did.

Everyone will stop and give Marty pats on the head and belly rubs.

Portera can cut a program mid-game.

Dunleavy will threaten to consolidate two programs.

Anzalone will probably make one team pull its goalie early.

By the way, Fade, JJM... the way Tech sputtered in the second half of last season before bowing meekly out of the playoffs makes me think they'll make the last pre-season MARS as a 3-4 seed. (here comes huskyfan to claim Western bias, even though NMU is located SOUTHEAST of Tech)

The Skunk Hats are going to be a dark horse. Much more likely to make the bubble than the Huskies.

Don't look now, but SLU(t) is promising to crack the top 5. Right now, UAA and RPI are duking it out for #1, but SLU can be there at number 3.
