Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

End of the first period. UNH really had the run of play for most of the first half of the period. They took a couple of penalties which really seemed to take the steam out of their attack, and BU took over momentum for most of the rest of the first period. BU had some good chances as they got men in front and UNH gave them lots of space to move. UNH really only had one or two good chances down low, as most of their shots came from the perimeter. All in all a decent period for both teams.

0-0

I agree. UNH played a rather uninspired, undisciplined first period. Luckily, DiGirolamo came to play. To be honest, I didn't see one excellent scoring chance for the Wildcats. I expect at least somewhat of a turnabout for the UNH, but BU's pesky forwards will continue to skate hard and perhaps their chippy style will land a few in the penalty box. UNH has to watch for getting caught for retaliatory penalties. BU's forwards are crafty, but in a different way than BC's.

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

UNH is playing more better tonight - they have good coordination, passing well, and really holding up BU during their runs. The cats need to stay out of the penalty box, but play more physical and man-to-man defense. Keep an eye on Sis for UNH and Noonan for the mutts (he ways seems to be near the net when the puck is shot in; though he does have 62 minutes of penalty minutes in only 20 penalties).

I've seen it pronounced both ways for Millan: is it mill-ann or mill-awn?

I'm not sure what you are agreeing with since you said pretty much the opposite of what I said.

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

6:11 gone in the second.

The UNH goal was set up when BU had a chance to clear the puck and it was intercepted at the blue line.

1-0 UNH

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

DeSimone going off again for UNH as he gets caught for prostitution at 7:23 of the second.

1-0 UNH

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

Paul Thompson thinks he has banked one off of Millan from a bad angle. However, the refs so far disagree. Play under review.

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

Alright...getting in just in time to see the "no goal" for PT... But, it clearly was not definitive so no goal. Fair call.

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

Bad goal there... BU's Gaudet gets the gift from Henrion. Just pathetic turnover by Henrion. 2-1 BU.

Re: Boston University at UNH - 01/22/11

6:17 left in the second.

2-1 BU

Hey Chad, nice to have some company in here.
