Boston University 17-18 - thread El Segundo

I was going to post earlier this week to ask about the severity of Fabbro's injury. A quick check of the box score indicates he was able to give it a go last night.

Is Krys injured?

Not that I know of, he played last night. He's struggled over the last two weekends, wouldn't surprise me if he sat because of his play or because he has the flu bug that's been going around the team.

Thanks for that info. Speaking of missing, where are the students? Seriously ... I try to get up here for at least one game a season and I’ve never seen anything like this. One of the student sections was nearly empty.

They're not interested, and many are bad.

Quinn confirmed in the post-game press conference that both Krys and Olssson were healthy scratches. He said sometimes a player needs to press the “reset button.”

I was assuming Olsson's ill-timed and stupid penalty in the offensive zone on Friday night lead to him being scratched last night, but notice anything glaringly bad from Krys. I'm more concerned about Harper. He's missed three games. That flu must be pretty bad.

He's not injured, definitely sick. Krys has struggled the past few weekends so a night off is a good step to help him hit the reset button. The team performed really well last night in place of those three.

It is. It’s running rampant and can last several days. My wife had it and was off her feet for four days. And it was over a week before she even started to feel better (much less have to play a Division I Sport).

Flu virus has been going around the team; Harper apparently has a severe case of it. Don't see we'll see him back until after the ASU series given the travel involved and its impact on his recovery.

Wow that's three weeks of having it. Hope he's doing OK himself outside of his timetable to return. Sidenote - it'd be great if the student reporters actually reported on that instead of us hearing things through the grapevine. You'd think if a team's top scorer is absent for two weeks straight that'd be something worth asking the coach about.

Another thing I haven't seen reported, but it could be just me, is when we will actually lose Greenway. The Harvard thread mentions that Donato will be able to play the first round game (against us), so I assume that means we'l have Jordan for that game as well. Has anybody heard definitively?

Central Scouting Mid-term Rankings are out. Among North American Skaters, Tkachuk us #3, Farabee is #11, Weiss is #71. Wise is one of five in the "not enough info" category since he was out for so long with his injury.

He’s leaving after the first Beanpot game.
