Boston College vs. Michigan State - Icebreaker Game 1 - 10/7 - 5:00 PM ET

Re: Boston College vs. Michigan State - Icebreaker Game 1 - 10/7 - 5:00 PM ET

Anyone notice FCS just flat out stopped running the promises to get this get back on at the bottom? I doubt we'll see any more of this game.

That's too bad. Satellite is back up and running. It's been solid for the past few minutes...now if only they could figure out this, whatchamacallit...power thing.

BC Twitter says lights on in 5-10 minutes -what a joke

Re: Boston College vs. Michigan State - Icebreaker Game 1 - 10/7 - 5:00 PM ET

Apparently gusts of nearly 60mph knocked the power out briefly. Probably what caused some of the satellite issues...

Ralph Engelstad spent $110 million, but no one thought to include a couple backup generators? ;)

Ridiculous for North Dakota allow such a thing. I think the Sioux tribe had something to do about it. ;)

Probably. They dislike Eagles and have had a millenia long feud with Spartans. They did not want either school to get any national attention.

Lol why was Tommy Atkinson on the PP?

What the guy above me said..

Is it normal to have backup generators at a sports venue? Or can this happen even if there are backups in place?

Considering that probably once a year an NFL or MLB game suffers a power outage, I can't imagine that those facilities wouldn't have everything possible in place to prevent a power outage. I'm sure the Ralph has the same or similar set up to prevent such an occurrence. It happens.

1-1 on some of the worst defense I have seen in a while.

No Fox Sports?

I'm not sure why they don't have the game on. The satellite is back up and running smoothly. Perhaps when they switched to the Big XII showcase they got tremendously higher rankings?

Agreed, just frustrated after waiting 7 months for hockey.

I actually agree, I was just being facetious. :)
