Boston College: It's Trophy Time

With a Merrimack win tonight, we get Vermont.
With a UNH win, we get UNH.

I have no preference. Take all comers.

Really? Two boring clog the middle slow it down games with UVM that you easily win on talent, or two wide open shootouts where only one team has bullets? With our defense your forwards will look and feel like gods heading into the garden!

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Questions:

1. How many penalties BC will take this weekend?
2. Are Calnan and White back?
3. Will Demko make UVM earn it.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

As competitive as he is, i expect him to do well. But really? That show is now at doug flutie "star" level?

I think he is a bigger "star" than most of the contestants in the last number of seasons. I looked at last season's "stars" and seven of those I had never even heard of them. This season actually isn't bad for star power. 2 current NFLers.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

I'm counting on the BC Athletics community to support him big time. I expect all of you to watch. And vote vote vote!!

if it was the only thing on TV i wouldn't watch it, i'd rather stick a needle in my eye...........season 22? coincidence?

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

It's looking like the regionals in Albany for BC. I'm trying to get plans in place for going. Does anyone have an idea what time the championship game will be on Sun the 27th?

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

I hope you're right. I was just going by the past few bracketology's(bracketologies?)

A lot will happen between now and the selection show and there are some compelling factors not many people are looking at when it comes to attendance/placement. BC almost always gets Worcester anyway, the committee has shown it likes to keep them close when they can. Certainly don't start making plans for one over the other (I'd be more inclined to make plans for Worcester to be honest).

I've got hotels lined up for both locations. I'd druther a 45 minute drive than a 2 and a half to 3 hour tour.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

You can cancel as soon as you know - will still be about five days before the games so no harm no foul.

Interesting you mention the hotel situation, because I think that is one factor that will play into the bracket. Personally I wouldn't go to Albany at all and would stay home and watch the BC game (or games) to avoid the long drive and the need for a hotel room. I certainly wouldn't drive back and forth to Albany twice in 2 days. Contrast that with Worcester, most people would probably drive to Worcester and go home and then go back the next day if they win. I certainly would and I live 30 mins from Worcester. Have to think a lot of people are on the same page there. Huge attendance swing if you swap BC to Worcester. On the other side, Qpac going to Albany is practically a wash for them. We're talking like 20 miles. I think right off the bat the committee would put QPac and their matchups in Albany and push either BC or PC (and their accompanying bracket) to Worcester, depending on which team gets the one seed. From there they have a good starting point and can tinker as necessary to maximize attendance, etc. PLUS, who is going to stay in a hotel room or travel that far on Easter morning on the Albany bracket where the final is on Easter Sunday I believe? Best bet for attendance in Albany is going to be close teams that don't need hotels (QPAC).

A lot is still going to play out.
