Border War, Part 2: UNH @ Maine 1/25/14

Re: Border War, Part 2: UNH @ Maine 1/25/14

The 2nd period is over. UNH gets a goal from Nick Sorkin with an assist to Justin Agosta. UNH leads 2-1 and is still on the PP.

Maine with the tying goal. A possible redirection. 2-2. The play is, however, under review.

Maine takes the lead after Shore stole the puck from Sorkin and Lomberg finished it off. 3-2 Black Bears.

Goumas has an apparent injury. He skated to the bench gingerly and was holding his right shoulder.

DeSmith with a big save on a Shore breakaway to keep the Wildcats down by 1.

Re: Border War, Part 2: UNH @ Maine 1/25/14

Empty net goal for Maine. 4-2 Maine with under 1 minute to go. Maine will most likely, barring a huge UNH comeback, to 10-1-0 at home and push UNH to 5-6-0 on the road. Maine pulls back ahead of UNH in the standings.

Re: Border War, Part 2: UNH @ Maine 1/25/14

Maine wins the game 4-2 and salvages the split with UNH. Devin Shore had 1 goal and 3 assists for the Black Bears. If Goumas doesn't regain his health during the week, UNH will be in trouble without 3 top players heading into a 2 game home series vs. #15 Notre Dame.
