Dell has played well, and I wouldn't be surprised if he got quite a bit more ice time this season...perhaps even a start next weekend.

The one goal he let in was an absolute laser just inside the post. Nothing to complain about.

And that's the game, Sioux win!!
Player of the Game: Gregoire. He played up to the level that I expect him to play at. The rest of the team played well, nothing over the top fantastic. I was pleased with the play of Forbort, but would have liked to see more out of Simpson. Nelson impressed me with his reach and his speed. There is a lot of potential.
Surprise Player: Davidson. He was fast and made plays. I didn't have a lot of expectations for him coming into the season, and yes, just 1 game, and an exhibition at that, but he was explosive. If he can play like that the rest of the season he'll get more ice time and could be a surprise player this season.

Very true. I wouldn't complain about either goal that the Sioux allowed. That goal, and then the deflection off Blood in the first period was a little flukey.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but it seemed to me that Chay was avoiding any contact in the corners, especially in the first period. I can certainly understand why. Was it just me?
