Binghamton feasibility study

he he he… I did indeed mean the school.
I honestly don’t know how many separate threads there are on RPI hockey, but if there is more than one it seems overkill to me. I love Dave Smith (and the school president), but the men’s ice hockey program hasn’t deserved two threads a season for quite awhile (let alone three). 60 programs x 2 is 120 threads. 60 x 3 is, well, more threads than a hockey quilt can bare.

I thought you did. I don't know about you or others, but I think that that main purposes of these threads is to convey information and discuss things relevant to college hockey, not for entertainment. When I go to the Colgate thread, it is for information, and I do that rarely.

The men's program has one main thread and a recruit thread active at any time. There is also a virtually dormant alumni thread on the Alumni board, and a women's thread on the Women's board, and we still use game threads on that board. The reason for a separate recruit thread, and RPI is not the only school with one, is that someone who will remain nameless complained about my posts cluttering up the main thread years ago. IMHO, the quality of a program at any given moment should have nothing to do with the posting. Fan interest is the main criterion.

Perhaps, you, like many, confuse RPI with RIT and are also counting their thread.

Although I would not recommend it, there could be separate Boards for each league. Seriously, posting in general here and on all types of message boards has been going down for many years. Also, there are many programs which have virtually no interest on USCHO.

Binghamton, or RPI having a million threads?

Binghampton. However, too many threads is a symptom from having only ONE topic for D1 hockey. It's why I rarely come here. Threads get barried too easily... Should have a separate section for specific teams vs general conference and NCAA news, and potential new programs, conference realignment, etc.
