Bikini hockey league

And as soon as one of the ladies falls and hits the ice, the road (ice) rash will persuade her to quit.

considering this "game" will be played on a rollers in Oklahoma it seems road rash is much more likely.

Personally I enjoyed reading Ashley Riggs twitter feed yesterday after she was named a participant, much to her surprise..

This is no different than Dennis Rodman's plans to host topless basketball games in Vegas. Obviously it's not about promoting the sport of basketball. But I have to say, if most of you were honest, you'd tune into at least one episode to check out how ridiculous it is!

Re: Bikini hockey league

"We have other girls that played hockey that it turns out are very pretty, too," Eskridge said. "Most girls that we've talked to have been very athletic."

Wow, imagine that. Women who play hockey can also be considered very pretty. Amazing. Never would have crossed my mind. Sheesh!
I think he's working his used car salesman bit with his comments.

This is nothing more than a gimmick that will soon go the way of other reality show nonsense.
I wish all that other reality show nonsense had gone that way, long ago. Much of it seems excruciatingly enduring.

Not really. If I want to see hot bikini clad women, there are a number of other sites and places where I can go for my viewing pleasure. This so called 'sport' is not one of them.

No I wouldn't tune in. There are plenty of other places to view such things and better then some excuse for a so called hockey event.

Re: Bikini hockey league

I feel like this is going to make a mockery of women's hockey. No one who truly respects the sport and promoting it would touch this project.

Re: Bikini hockey league

I agree with Ralph. Given it isn't even ice hockey, I doubt too many people will associate the two.

Re: Bikini hockey league

This seems familiar, oh yeah there's a crappy movie with Jon Bon Jovi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Lampoon%27s_Pucked

Even if the "players" weren't wearing bikinis and were using full roller hockey equipment, it sounds like this is going to be more of a reality show with a mansion full of participants, lots of drinking, drama, etc... there might be a sprinkle of bikini hockey every now and then. It's not going to do anything good for hockey/women's hockey.

Re: Bikini hockey league

To paraphrase the big fat guy in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, "Get me a bucket, I'm going to puke."

I believe it's "Give me a bucket, I'm going to throw up"....

Always great to see a Monty Python quote, though!

Re: Bikini hockey league

Better.
Better??
Better get a bucket I'm going to throw up......

Just one more wafer thin chocolate mint......

Classic!!

Yes, but that is why I said "paraphrase" rather than "quote." ;)
