After the Gophers got a win and a tie vs. Duluth a couple of weeks ago, the Big Ten held a 1-0-1 record vs. the NCHC. With victories tonight by Michigan over Western Michigan and Notre Dame over Omaha, the Big Ten now has three victories and a tie vs. NCHC opponents while the NCHC is still trying to get that elusive 1st win over a Big Ten opponent this season.

DaveK must have been run out of siouxsports again.

Pressure will be on in Vegas. A loss to UND is going to be an absolute pairwise killer.

It's been a while since UND's been pairwise contagion. But they appear to be it.

Ooof. Ouch. You’re right, complete superiority. Two weeks into preseason and it’s so obvious. Glad I live in Denver. They can beat us in the national championship but their fans have other hobbies than to razz UMD fans. You beat UMD in a preseason game and it’s the national championship. I remember the years when beating Minn was equivalent to a national championship for us (hint: that’s a sign your program is pathetic)

UND looks pretty bad this year, but even if they luckbox one against Minnesota like they did against Mankato tonight, it still won't be too bad for the Gophers simply because the NCHC is an OK conference. It's not like losing a game to an Atlantic Hockey team where not only is the team you lose to bad, but their entire schedule is horrible too. At least UND will be propped up somewhat by games against teams like Western and St. Cloud and the Colorado schools.

So a bit of a dent in the pairwise, but not a killer.

Hahaha gotta love how jealous Big ten fans are!! Keep telling your yourself stuff like this while the NCHC wins the national championship for the 4th year in a row

What are you talking about? What preseason? Everyone but the Ivy schools are playing regular season games? Have you been smoking way way way too much of the weed out there??

Speed Kills is vastly overrated. Each year talks crap about the NCHC but then disappears after the Frozen Four to avoid the flak for being an ***.

This could be the B1G's year to be better. About time, given the resources they have.

But more good hockey is a good thing. OSU has been around a while, but PSU is coming on. If the improvement continues, maybe Dave K/speed kills will feel better about himself, so everyone wins.
