Seriously, successful (well attended) sporting events are nearly as much about atmosphere and tradition as they are about the game. This is not true regarding the denizens of this site, but past tournaments (and games) shows all too regularly there simply aren't enough diehard hockey fans to fill stadiums. LIVE college bands, traditional chants and cheers, bizarre clothing, even dead sea creatures create an overall experience which attracts more fans.

If the criteria are loud, obnoxious, and dressed like a bunch of clowns, then I guess the nod goes to the Michigan Tech Band. Never could stand them, so I guess that's the point.

Uml or Maine in Hockey East, and I rather enjoy BU as well. PC needs to deep six Lady Gaga.
Always been highly amused by Harvard, Brown and Cornell. I only saw Clarkson once. Sorry.
MTU's band is hilarious.

It's going to be interesting how our band performs at Pegula. They will be above the glass in the middle of the student section, so it should be loud. They do a pretty good job at bouncy-ball games, so we hope it carries over across the street from the BJC.

I'd still love to see the entire Blue Band (all 300+) doing the Moving Lion on the ice. :D

We had the pep band once at the Greenberg -- crammed up in the balcony. That's probably why they only were there once. :eek:
