Ralph, you should stop sleep-posting now.

Q-pac's report is that the game was not pretty, offensively, and Bentley was able to capitalize on the same penalty twice (delayed and then the ensuing PP), so our D / PK is going to need to step it up again.

We have had 3 very evenly fought games. We should now have some things worked out and progressing. This is a team we can beat and should beat, especially at our home opener. If we do not handle them rather easily, then ther are a lot of questions to be answered. There should be few if any excuses. I fully expect this squad to respond with their best effort of the young season. This RPI team has shown they can handle the defensive responsibilites against very decent teams-now they have to get the offense going and no better time than the present.
I expect coach SA to make some changes for tonight though-perhaps switching goalies an playing a few of the fellows who were not in the line up yesterday. Would hope to see Tinordi in there. Let's Go Red!!

Does the asterisk next to York's name mean that he will start? And if so, will Merriam ever get into a game this year?
Good to see Tinordi in the line up, but as two thirds of a fourth line, I wonder how many minutes he might get.
I will be going up for the game today. Will check in and make comments when I get back.

Yep that indicates York as the starter. I am a little bit surprised too. This seems like a perfect game for Merriam - day game after a night game and travel; very surprising to have York play this one. Really left kind of puzzled by this decision (and I am normaly very big on playing the starter as much as possible).

I like the mixed up line combos. Also puzzled by the dressing of an extra defenseman. I guess CP will do some double-shifting. It will be nice to see what Tinordi can do out there. I get the sense that he is perhaps not a great practice player but is the kind of guy who can really bring it when gametime rolls around.

I agree that it would be a perfect game for Merriam. I also would think that this is a game that Rogic would excel in. Oh well.
