George had a great game tonight for the Beav's. The Huskies again give the opponent great opportunities, and Bemidji cashed in on several. A D-I goalie HAS to make some of those saves. Faragher had about two good stops the entire evening, and seemed to fight the puck all night. SCSU will not make any sounds this year without some back up help in net. I thought the coach should have pulled the struggling goalie and throw in Phillippi.

Of course, on the positive side, the offense looked very good most of the night for the Huskies. You shouldn't have to score more than 6 goals to get a win in any league.

Didn't see the game, obviously Faragher didn't have his best game but how did the D look? I'm assuming they had a pretty bad game too. We've given up a lot of goals to UNH and Minnesota on the year, overall I'd say the D has been fantastic this year considering their age and experience, hopefully just a hiccup that was due and we come out tonight and stick it to the Beavs. If we can win convincingly then we get a beatable Denver at home, so we may salvage this run yet.

So, contrary to what our fanbase thought, Faragher isn't going to lead us to the Final Five. Imagine that. I was right again.

Or the "he got a shutout in his first start, he's so awesome and so much better than the guy he replaced."
We are inexperienced at goal, defense and at center.
I'm not shocked we are inconsistent.

Even great goalies get pulled sometimes. Not having a second option is stupid. If you don't want to use a year of Phillipi's eligiblity, put Hardy in. If he dresses, he can't be so bad that we would never consider using him in a game.

Motzko said he didn't think Faragher had a shot on 4 of them.
He wasn't blaming his goalie, but the entire team, that's likely why he wasn't pulled.
Things were not going to improve with Phillippi or Hardy in there.
The whole team was bad defensively.

I've enjoyed watching these teams play each other since the early 80's. I hope the decision to join the super league works out for St. Cloud but I think the Huskies would have been wise to stay and be a perennial contender for the NCAA tourney. The "all in" bet says it helps recruiting to be an at large bid. If not it has to pay off at the ticket booth.
Stop George and take 3 points.

Great game for Bakala, hope Novak is back soon. 1 point this weekend will hurt later on.

These next two weeks should be interesting in St. Cloud. A chance for a real gut check. And possibly work a little bit on their power play.

Great win by the beavs. PK was stellar tonight and Bakala worked very hard. Also a great weekend for Rado returning from injury. Hopefully 'midji can carry this momentum into the Denver series!

The chance for a gut check was tonight after giving up 6 goals last night. At home. To a team below us in the standings. This team is going nowhere fast.
