Beavers break up the shutout bid. Tyler Lehrke with a power play goal into the upper left corner of the net at 13:34. Assists to Brance Oban and Jamie MacQueen.

Re: Bemidji State @ Robert Morris; Friday 2/12

What's going on with the Beavs! This RMU team has been hot this 2nd half of the year, while my Beavs have been so so :(

...i thought this game was a lock in my INCH pick 'em :(

You wanna know what's going on with BSU? Tonight is the 12 and tomorrow is the 13th meeting between the Beavs and Colonials since January 30, 2009 - That's 12 months and 2 weeks. Also, next weekend, BSU and Niagara will meet for the 11th and 12th time in a year and three months. Two more weeks and BSU and UAH will meet for the 12th and 13th time in a year and a half...

This is the core of the problem with a 4 team conference. You think these teams might know each other just a little bit? Maybe they're a little sick of each other? Maybe Burkie, Schoolie and Cole each are starting to figure out what works against BSU?

Seriously. BSU is 9-1-1 vs. UAH in the last 2 years, but national perception is that the Beavs should *never* lose to them. They're 7-3 vs. Niagara, and, again, BSU should *never* lose to the Purps. And the Beavs are 7-4-1 vs. RMU the last two seasons, and, again, they are supposed to *never* lose to the Colonials. (and I stress that that *never* is public perception - not my personal feelings)

Plus, don't forget that each of these other three teams have legit D-I players on their rosters. I mean, it's not like they are playing the Sisters of the Poor each week...

I'm very well in that "public perception". That's the problems with rankings, makes you feel like your much much better than your opposition when the other team is ranked and your are #5 (USCHO.com). Though what i what i remember, we lost to RMU in the last meeting and our Pairwise didn't change at all, i believe it was because that RMU has played such a tough schedule, so it helped our PWR i guess, I'm really confused on how that whole thing works. I just don't hope the Beavers don't throw away what has been a great year so far, but it is just one game, and hope the Beavs come out strong tomorrow! GO BEAVERS! :D
