Bemidji State Beavers: Looking Forward to 2015-16!

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Looking Forward to 2015-16!

Great job to come out of the break with a good 3 points on the road. Hopefully we are becoming a post break team with last year going very well.

Well done! You guys got screwed last night on the no goal call. Was the ref calling a tripping penalty, and that's why the play was dead as soon as Jenks touched the puck?

I didn't see the play, but it sounds like that was the call according to what I have heard. The play didn't get blown dead right away, but did after video review.

The play was called dead because the goalie played the puck with his stick. However, why wasn't it a penalty shot? I heard TS's explanation of the ref's explanation on the post game and I was a befuddled as the coach was.

I heard coach's explanation as well but didn't want to try to explain it.

I know of two for sure that are doing the 10 day Alaska trip with the team.

The trip is still on my bucket list though....:(

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Looking Forward to 2015-16!

Another very strong win tonight. No matter what happens tomorrow this have been a very good trip to alaska getting 5 points but 7 would be a phenomenal trip. Go get the win Beavs!

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Looking Forward to 2015-16!

Wow.... Phenomenal trip getting 7 points. Moved from a tie for 8th to sole possession of 4th in the standings. Bitzer has really come on and strong and we are playing great hockey right now. Unfortunately we have to play a couple ooc games next weekend.

Weary too. From what I gather, they won't be getting home until early evening tonight.

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Looking Forward to 2015-16!

Hey guys, just wanted to say that our group enjoyed our time in Bemidji this weekend. Mostly, we didn't encounter the token ******* fans that seem to be on every roadtrip. People were friendly and interested in just talking hockey in the concourses and at the bar. It sounds simple, but most places have their share of idiots.

Also, we finally found a bar in Bemidji that served food later than 10!
