Yeah, according to the paper writeup, the ref anticipated the puck being coverwd up and blew the whistle. The video highlights I saw kind of confirmed that.

The Beavers gat a split on the weekend against #3 Mankato, falling Friday night 3-2 and winning Saturday night 4-2.

Up next, a trip to Michigan Tech.

Nice win by the Beavers last night, 4-0 over Huntsville. Charlie Combs with the hat trick and Hank Johnson with the shutout.

Hopefully these three lost points against Huntsville don't hurt the Beavers come playoff seeding time. I felt 12 points over this past weekend and the upcoming weekend we necessary. These are not games that Mankato, Bowling Green and the other league leaders drop. It is now of the upmost importance to sweep Anchorage next weekend.

Looks like the Mariucci Classic is coming back in December of 2019. The host Gophers are bringing in Mankato, St. Cloud and the Beavers.

Nice win by the Beavers last night. But man, are those six lost points to Huntsville and Anchorage looming big right now. Those six points would have the Beavers tied for home ice with Bowling Green.

Friday night of Hockey Day Minnesota festivities is in the books and the Beavers pull out a 4-3 overtime win. 4200 fans braved the -13 F temp on the South Shore of Lake Bemidji and witnessed Bemidji native and BSU Senior Defenseman Dillon Eichstadt tally the overtime game winner.

Same two teams tonight, but from the climate controlled Sanford Center.

Former Beaver d-man Brad Hunt has been traded from Vegas to the Minnesota Wild. That makes three former Beavers in the Wild organization with Matt Read and Gerry Fitzgerald in Iowa.
